St. Dominic Cemetery

Located at 585 Hillcrest Avenue in the historic town of Benicia, California, St. Dominic Cemetery is a serene and sacred place, offering burial plots and dedicated memorial spaces to honor the deceased. 

Officially established in 1894, it has become the final resting place for almost every friar in the province up to this day, as well as a number of Dominican sisters, members of the Dominican laity, parishioners from St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, family members of the friars and sisters, and others who have associations with the Order of Preachers. In addition to observing traditional burial practices, the cemetery seeks to provide compassion and care to the bereaved and mourning families.
