The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic organization, with over 800,000 members, founded by Frederic Ozanam in Paris, France in 1833 to assist the poor. The Society established roots in the United States in 1845 in St. Louis, Missouri. The U.S. currently has roughly 90,000 members.
The Benicia Conference of St. Vincent de Paul was established in 1993 by parishioners Joe Kroner, Mike Mallon and Pierre Bidou. With 43 active and associate members, our conference is one of 9 in Solano County and one of 53 in the Sacramento Diocese. The Mission of St. Vincent de Paul is to create a network of friends, inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships with, and service to, people in need.
We also collaborate with local agencies and make referrals depending on each individual’s specific needs.
Meetings and Contact Information
St. Vincent de Paul’s general conference meeting is the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Mary Magdalene Room, which is located on the first floor of the Ministry Center.
We also meet the third Tuesday of the month at 10:00 AM in the Siena Room, located on the second floor of the Ministry Center. This meeting focuses on home visits and how to best help our neighbors in need with either financial assistance, budgeting or referrals for housing, legal services, other food resources, employment or transportation.

We are always in need of peanut butter, jelly, cereal, pasta, pasta sauce, mayonnaise, tuna, mac & cheese and canned items including soup, fruit and vegetables. Pantry donations can be made in the vestibule of the church.
